Doha: The Ministry of Interior announced that the voter turnout for the constitutional amendment referendum reached 72 percent by 03:00 pm. The voting process will continue until 19:00, with counting and sorting of votes set to begin immediately after the referendum. The General Referendum Committee is expected to announce the results within 24 hours of the end of the voting process. According to Qatar News Agency, the referendum voting began on Tuesday morning and is being conducted through two primary methods. The first method involves direct voting, where voters can cast their ballots either on paper or electronically by attending one of the designated polling stations. Voters are required to present their Qatari ID or Digital Qatar ID to participate in this method. The second method allows for remote voting through the "Metrash2" app, which is accessible to citizens both within the country and abroad.
