Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family inaugurated the 'Home Grown Exhibition' today, marking a key event in the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture. The opening ceremony was attended by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry, Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al-Thani. The exhibition is being held at M7 in Msheireb City and will remain open to visitors until November 7, organized in collaboration with the Social and Sport Contribution Fund and Qatar Museums. According to Qatar News Agency, HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar, Mohamed Setri, emphasized that the activities of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture underscore the strong fraternal relations between Qatar and Morocco. The Home Grown Exhibition specifically aims to highlight the cultural ties and shared heritage between the two nations, featuring a blend of Qatari and Moroccan production projects. The exhibition showcases the participation of nine diverse Qatari projects alongside three youth initiativ es and five projects from Morocco. These projects span a variety of industries, including leather printing, gifts, jewelry, event organization, cosmetics, perfumes, and incense. The event not only aims to integrate and enhance cooperation between Qatari and Moroccan cultures in production and marketing but also reflects the interconnectedness and harmony between their heritages. Additionally, the exhibition offers an array of workshops open to the public, including a flower arrangement workshop and the 'Prints without borders' initiative presentation, among others, allowing attendees to engage with the cultural exchange firsthand.
