Doha: Represented by its Youth Affairs Department, the Ministry of Sports and Youth launched the 'Generation Proactive' program on Sunday. This national initiative aims to empower Qatari youth and build their capacities in designing and implementing impactful youth initiatives, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030 and Qatar National Youth Policy.

According to Qatar News Agency, the program's training courses will be conducted from January 18 to February 2, involving a group of Qatari youth under the guidance of certified trainers and specialists in initiatives, innovation, and community development. The 'Generation Proactive' program is designed to equip participants with the ability to transform creative ideas into practical initiatives addressing societal issues, thereby reinforcing the role of youth as active partners in national development.

The program focuses on developing key skills such as leadership, teamwork, creative thinking, strategic planning, resource management, and the marketing and promotion of initiatives. It includes several integrated stages, beginning with participant registration and selection based on specific criteria, followed by a training phase with specialized workshops. These workshops cover topics such as initiative idea selection, goal setting, implementation mechanisms, impact measurement, and work plan development, culminating in the evaluation of initiatives.

Additionally, 'Generation Proactive' will facilitate the launch of six innovative youth initiatives linked to the pillars of Qatar's National Youth Policy, enhancing youth participation in community service and reinforcing values of responsibility, citizenship, and leadership.

The program is supported by several national entities, including Qatar University, Qatar Foundation, and the Qatar Voluntary Center. In a related effort, the Nama Center has offered various forms of cooperation and support to participants post-program by providing training courses to enhance their skills and readiness for initiative implementation.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth's affiliated centers will also offer support through services like the Innovation Incubator at the Scientific Club, tourism-related programs from Qatar Youth Hostels, and the Friends of the Environment Center. The Young Entrepreneurs Club has expressed its eagerness to cooperate by offering services and attracting entrepreneurship-related initiatives.
