MOEHE and QCDC Collaborate to Foster Career Development Ecosystem in Qatar

Doha: The Minister of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), in partnership with the Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), hosted a deliberation session titled "Towards Establishing the National Career Development Ecosystem in Qatar: Contributing to the Realization of Qatar National Vision 2030." The event, held at the Ministry's headquarters, gathered decision-makers, policymakers, and strategists from the education, training, and labor market sectors to discuss the enhancement of career guidance and development in alignment with Qatar's sustainable development goals.

According to Qatar News Agency, the session focused on establishing foundational frameworks and infrastructure for a national ecosystem that coordinates efforts of relevant entities and career development partners across various sectors. The aim is to support investment in national talents and empower young generations to contribute to Qatar's sustainable development journey.

Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Maha Zayed Al Ruwaili, highlighted the importance of continuous development in student guidance and career counseling. She emphasized the Ministry's commitment to improving the quality of these services by updating guidance programs and training academic counselors. Acting Director of QCDC, Saad Abdulla Al Kharji, pointed out the benefits of this collaboration, noting that the national career development ecosystem would enhance career readiness and strengthen career security, crucial for the future of Qatar's citizens.

The session is a part of ongoing collaboration between MoEHE, QCDC, and other partners. Participants shared insights on the current career guidance landscape and progress towards establishing the national career development ecosystem. They agreed on a roadmap, transforming it into strategic goals and performance indicators as part of the Ministry's 2024-2030 strategy. MoEHE affirmed this session as a strategic starting point for cooperation among partners, driving human development and contributing to Qatar National Vision 2030.
