Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) announced the final-round winners in the Arabic Spelling Competition, which was dedicated to 4th-grade students in public schools and saw the participation of 94 male and female students.
According to Qatar News Agency, in the boys' category, the 1st place went to Tamim Talal Mohsen from Al Quds Model School, followed by Sultan Ahmed Al Hajjaji from Umm Al Amad Model School in 2nd place, and Tamim Sultan Al Ali from Ali Bin Abdullah Model School in 3rd place. As for the girls' category, Muhra Mohammed Rashid Al Marri from Hajar School won 1st place, followed by Safia Saeed Al Marri from Al Shaqab Primary School in 2nd, and Sheikha Omar Al Jaber from Al Khansaa Primary School in 3rd.
Head of the Arabic Language Section at MoEHE, Laila Al Kaabi, honored the winners and praised their excellence, awarding them with certificates of appreciation. Organized by the Educational Guidance Department's Arabic Language Section, the competition is part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance students' skills in listening, dictation, and reading, and to increase their linguistic proficiency. It also aims to develop their self-confidence, communication skills, and sportsmanship.
The competition is one of many annual initiatives aimed at instilling in students a love of the Arabic language and preparing them to participate in national and international competitions, in line with MoEHE's vision of supporting cultural identity and enhancing the quality of education.
