Doha: HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Qatar Mohamed Setri praised the organizational standards, fan engagement, and technical quality of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, affirming that Qatar has succeeded in bringing Arab nations together for an exceptional edition of the tournament.
According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency stated that the State of Qatar has once again demonstrated excellence in hosting the Arab Cup, further enhancing its prestigious position on the global football map. He noted that Qatar's success builds on the legacy of hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which is widely regarded as a landmark edition in the tournament's history.
He further mentioned that the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 saw unprecedented fan attendance, with supporters enjoying a unique atmosphere and experience both inside the FIFA World Cup stadiums and across various entertainment activities throughout the country, highlighting the tournament's organizational success.
HE the Moroccan Ambassador expressed his delight at Morocco's national team qualifying for the final of the Arab Cup, scheduled for Thursday, coinciding with Qatar National Day celebrations. He emphasized Morocco's deserved progression to the final, citing outstanding performances throughout the tournament, particularly in their match against Jordan. He expressed hope that the final would reflect the high standard witnessed throughout the competition and wished the Moroccan team success in clinching the title.
He noted that reaching the final represents the sustained progress of Moroccan football at youth and senior levels, referencing the under-20 national team's World Cup triumph and the senior team's historic FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 semi-final run.
His Excellency remarked that Qatar has been auspicious for Moroccan football, recalling the national team's historic World Cup run in 2022, where it reached the semi-finals and finished fourth, marking a first for Arab and African teams.
