Morocco Coach Happy After Arab Cup Semi-Finals Advance

Morocco: Morocco advanced to the semi-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 with a 1-0 victory over Syria at Khalifa International Stadium. Coach Tarik Sektioui said he was very happy with the win, describing the quarter-final as a tough match against an organised Syrian side. He praised his players' tactical discipline and said Morocco created several chances to widen the score, but were denied by strong Syrian goalkeeping.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sektioui said the team must correct a few mistakes before the semi-final. Morocco forward Walid Azaro credited the result to teamwork and fighting spirit, adding that the squad aims to push on to the final.

Syria coach Jose Lana called the outcome realistic, acknowledging Morocco's defensive strength and tactical discipline. He said his team tried to break through with short passing but failed to convert key chances.
