A Russian military source announced Thursday the killing of five Ukrainian landing forces in the vicinity of the border village of Borki in Kursk Oblast, southwestern Russia. Russian forces continue their operations in the border areas of Kursk Oblast, against the backdrop of the attack launched by Ukrainian forces on Aug. 6. There are still conflicting reports about the facts of the situation on the ground in southern Russia, as Russian forces confirm that they have repelled the Ukrainian incursion, while Ukraine stresses that its forces have succeeded in penetrating the Russian defenses in Kursk.
