The English football club West Ham United have announced that its Scottish coach, David Moyes, will leave at the end of the current season 2023-2024, one day after the London team lost to its counterpart, Chelsea, by 5-0, in the 36th round of the English Premier League competitions. The club said in a statement Monday that Moyes will leave by mutual consent as his contract expires at the end of the current season, after spending several seasons with the club, during which he led it to qualify for the quarter-finals of the European League, as well as the semi-finals of the same tournament in another season, and win the European Conference League title this season, in addition to saving the team from relegation in the 2017-2018 season. The London team suffered a clear fluctuation in level and results this season, as it exited the European League in the quarter-finals against German Leverkusen, and is currently in 9th place in the English Premier League table.
