Katara: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) inaugurated Wednesday the mural of the mare AJ Kayya, champion of the Global Champions Arabians Tour 2024 in Katara. The mural was completed by the international artist Fintan Magee, who excelled in embodying the beauty and grace of purebred Arabian horses in an artistic style that reflects the spirit of horsemanship and the antiquity of Arabian horse breeds. According to Qatar News Agency, the inauguration of the mural comes within the framework of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival 2025, which is one of the most prominent cultural and artistic events that celebrates the heritage of purebred Arabian horses, as it brings together equestrian and art lovers. The mural aims to highlight the exceptional beauty of Arabian horses and strengthen the cultural and artistic link with the Qatari heritage. General Manager of Katara Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti stressed that this mural is a qualitative addition to the cultural and artistic scene in Katar a, as it reflects the status of Arabian horses in the Qatari heritage, and enhances the role of Katara as a leading destination in celebrating art and culture. Several events will be held accompanying the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival 2025, held at Katara corniche, including horse sculptures that highlight the aesthetics of authentic Arabian horses in various creative styles, artistic murals in which six artists will draw paintings directly in front of the audience. These paintings will embody the aesthetic of horses with its artistic and symbolic dimensions, as well as the saddlery painting event in which 15 artists from different nationalities participate, where horse aesthetics are painted on leather saddles in an artistic style that reflects the authenticity of Arabian horses. Additionally, children's art workshops aim to present creative works on the heritage of horses and the development of children's talents in various arts, promoting their connection with art and authentic Arab heritage .
