Muscat Stock Exchange Index Sees Decline Amidst Increased Trading Activity

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) general index 30 closed on Sunday at 6,191.05 points, marking a decrease of 23.1 points or 0.37 percent from the previous close of 6,214.18 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading value for the day reached OMR 31,896,550, showing an increase of 4.9 percent compared to the last session, which recorded a trading value of OMR 30,405,455. Despite the increased trading activity, the market value experienced a slight decrease of 0.055 percent, settling at approximately OMR 33.24 billion.

The decline in the index reflects the ongoing fluctuations in the market, though the rise in trading value indicates active participation from investors. The report released by MSX provides insights into the current market trends and investor sentiments.
