Doha: Mwani Qatar on Tuesday launched the "MWANINA" mobile app to allow users to access port services in the country anytime, anywhere, and across different platforms, ensuring fast, easy, and integrated services that save time and effort while eliminating paperwork. According to Qatar News Agency, the launch of the app aligns with the Ministry of Transport's strategic plan to make port services fully digital, and it is part of its ongoing series of development and updates to the "MWANINA" Port Community System. The "MWANINA" app is an extension of the platform that has been available online since November 2022 and can be accessed via computers. The app aims to improve, manage, and automate logistical processes by unifying information exchange and connecting the country's transport and logistics chains. The initiative enhances the facilitation and efficiency of commercial operations, ultimately improving quality, performance, and productivity in Qatar's ports, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. Th e "MWANINA" Port Community System enables seamless information exchange among exporters, importers, shipping lines, and all stakeholders involved with the ports through a single point of contact. This setup saves time and effort for users while improving management of ship movements in response to the ongoing growth in the country's maritime shipping volume. The system enhances competitiveness and operational efficiency by providing real-time access to information about shipments and vessels. Additionally, it ensures a higher level of safety and security for cargo transportation. With over 25 available services, "MWANINA" covers key functions like vessel berthing reservations, truck entry and exit processing, shipment tracking, and application status updates. Other services include electronic payments and licensing for maritime companies operating in Qatar. Currently, the platform is utilized by 51 shipping lines, over 800 freight agents, 128 customs clearance companies, 68 shipping agents, and more than 65 9 transport firms across Qatar. Mwani Qatar is committed to expanding the range of services provided by the system and increasing its user base. The company continuously invests in advanced technological innovations that greatly benefit the commercial community and play a crucial role in Qatar's transformation into a competitive economy and a vibrant regional trade hub.
