Doha: The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned the attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the disruptive actions that threaten Lebanon's security and the safety of its citizens.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the MWL expressed its unwavering solidarity with Lebanon and its people, and reaffirmed its support for the measures taken by the Lebanese government and the efforts of the Lebanese army in safeguarding the country's security, stability, and the well-being of its citizens.

A UNIFIL's convoy came under attack two days ago while en route to Beirut International Airport, resulting in the injury of the deputy commander of the forces, who was returning to his home country following the conclusion of his mission.
