Lebanese Parliament Speaker called Friday for halting the Israeli aggression on his country, stressing that "it is time to save Lebanon from this aggression." In a statement commenting on the international conference in support of Lebanon held last Thursday in Paris, Berri considered that the results of the conference in terms of financial support for relief for the displaced and empowering and supporting the Lebanese army to carry out its role alongside the UNIFIL forces are an implementation of UN Resolution 1701, which reinforces the conviction that Lebanon is not alone in facing the existential threat that threatens it. He stressed that his country looks forward with the same hope, and quickly, for the international community to implement the results and recommendations of the conference, and to launch operations to help Lebanon and the Lebanese stop the aggression and rebuild what it has destroyed. Lebanon has been exposed to a violent Israeli aggression since October 5, which has expanded to the capi tal Beirut, causing the death and injury of thousands of civilians, and the displacement of more than a million people from the south.
