Doha: The National Committee for International Humanitarian Law held its first meeting of 2026 at the Ministry of Justice headquarters. The session was led by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Chairman of the Committee, Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing agenda items aimed at bolstering the Committee's role in the promotion and implementation of international humanitarian law. The agenda also prioritized enhancing national cooperation in this field.
