Brussels: The Chiefs of Staff of NATO member states held a meeting Thursday in the NATO-Ukraine Council format. The meeting took place on the second day of the NATO Chiefs of Staff meetings, chaired by the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, in the Belgian capital, Brussels. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting addressed the latest military developments in Ukraine, Russia's recent actions, and the needs of the current Kyiv administration. It also covered the coordination of support for weapons, ammunition, air defense systems, military training programs, and logistical assistance provided by the Allies to Ukraine. The meeting also discussed strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian army, the process of adapting to NATO standards, and long-term security commitments. The Chiefs of Staff of the NATO member states held Wednesday, their first meeting of 2026 to assess the Alliance's defense and deterrence capabilities.
