Doha: The net profits of Gulf International Services (a Qatari public shareholding company) jumped by 38.08 percent in the period ending Sep. 30, 2024, to reach QR 572.579 million, compared to QR 414.657 million in the same period in 2023. Figures issued by the company and posted on the Qatar Stock Exchange website Wednesday indicated an increase in earnings per share to QR 0.308 in the first nine months of the current year, compared to earnings per share of QR 0.223 in the same period of the previous year. Doha Insurance Group (a Qatari public shareholding company) also announced an increase in its net profits by 8.85 percent for the first nine months of 2024 to reach QR 145.4 million, compared to a net profit of QR 133.57 million in the same period of 2023. The data issued by the company showed an increase in earnings per share to QR 0.29 for the period ending Sep. 30, 2024, compared to QR 0.27 in the same period of 2023. In turn, Gulf Takaful Insurance (a Qatari public shareholding company) achieved a growth in its net profits by 10.51 percent to reach QR 60.77 million compared to QR 54.99 million for the same period last year. The company's data indicates that earnings per share reached QR 0.238 for the first nine months of 2024 compared to QR 0.215 for the same period of the previous year. Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company (Qatar Cinema) (a Qatari public shareholding company) also saw its profits increase by 2.68 percent in the first nine months of 2024 to reach QR 4.162 million, compared to QR 4.053 million in the same period last year. Figures issued by the company and posted on the Qatar Stock Exchange website Wednesday showed a marginal increase in the share to QR 0.066 in the period ending Sep. 30, 2024, compared to QR 0.065 in the same period last year. In the same context, Qatar Oman Investment Company (a Qatari public shareholding company) achieved net profits in the first nine months of 2024 amounting to QR 0.9 million, compared to a net loss of QAR 1.586 million for the same period of the previous year. Figures issued by the company and posted on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today showed earnings per share of 0.003 Qatari riyals in the period ending Sep. 30, 2024, compared to a loss per share of 0.005 Qatari riyals for the same period of the previous year.
