Manama, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), met with representatives of the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA). The meeting follows the memorandum of understanding signed during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to China in May. The CEO of NSSA emphasised the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge in the field of space with relevant entities, as it is fundamental to advancing space sciences and applications. This exchange aims to achieve optimal utilisation that supports comprehensive and sustainable development in Bahrain. He highlighted NSSA's efforts to develop the space sector in Bahrain through strategic regional and international partnerships, praising the existing cooperation with the People's Republic of China. He commended the fruitful cooperation with CNSA, which has resulted in a joint project enabling Bahrain to contribute to moon exploration efforts, positioning the Kingdom among leading nations in this vital secto r. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of a Bahraini technical team's participation in June in conducting experiments on a joint space payload in Chinese laboratories. This participation involved knowledge and information exchange that enhances Bahrain's capabilities in the space sector.
