Guediawaye:HE President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated the BAL4HER court in the Senegalese city of Guediawaye. The initiative aims to provide a sports space that brings together young men and women through basketball, helping them pursue their ambitions.

According to Qatar News Agency, this is the first court of its kind under the BAL4HER initiative in Africa. The facility is the result of a partnership between Qatar Foundation (QF) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL), which seeks to expand opportunities to practice the sport and strengthen the presence of girls in Africa’s sports landscape.

HE Sheikh Joaan praised the partnership, highlighting its role in transforming the belief in the power of sports to empower communities into reality. He expressed gratitude to President of BAL Amadou Gallo Fall and everyone involved in the initiative’s success.
