Israeli occupation forces severely beat a Palestinian young man from Qalqilya city in the West Bank Monday dawn. Local sources said that the occupation forces beat the young man, Muqdad Amawi, after stopping him at Nabi Ilyas village junction, east of Qalqilya, causing him bruises and wounds before he was transferred to the hospital, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported. The occupation forces had stormed Nabi Ilyas village last night and fired sound bombs and toxic gas. No injuries were reported. They also beat another Palestinian young man from Qalqilya city after detaining him for several hours near the city of Salfit. In the same context, the Israeli occupation forces set up a flying military checkpoint at the entrance to Nabi Ilyas village, and on the road connecting the towns of Kafr Jammal and Jayyous.
