Doha: Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari met with a delegation of the UK Parliament which included HE Member of the Parliament and chair of the Qatar all-party parliamentary group (APPG) Alun Cairns, HE Shadow Minister of Housing and Communities Florence Eshalomi, HE Official Spokesman of the Scottish National Party Chris Law, and HE Member of the Petitions Committee and the Women and Equalities Committee Marsha De Cordova. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, in addition to the Qatar-led mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip, and the reunification of families separated due to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. The meeting also discussed the Qatar-led efforts in exchanging a number of prisoners between the United States of America and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Afghan file, and ways to strengthen cooperative ties between the two countries.
