OIC Secretary-General Calls for Greater Solidarity Amid Israeli Aggression

Doha: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), His Excellency Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, has called for increased solidarity in response to what he described as the brutal Israeli aggression against Palestinians. This call was made during his speech at the 26th session of the Conference of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) in Doha.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Mr. Taha expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and the Qatari government for their hospitality and support for OIC institutions. He highlighted Qatar's unwavering commitment to joint Islamic initiatives.

Mr. Taha emphasized the need for international unity in the face of ongoing violence in Gaza and other occupied territories, including Jerusalem. He praised the efforts of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in exposing what he termed as crimes committed by Israel and in fostering global solidarity with the Palestinian people.
