OIC Strongly Condemns Occupation’s Invasion of Jenin, Decision to Accelerate Settlement Expansion

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people and their land, calling on the international community to move quickly to stop this aggression and the settlement expansion policy.

In a statement, the organization condemned in the strongest terms the continuous Israeli bombardment of the eastern neighborhood in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, which resulted in four deaths and dozens of wounded.

The organization described the Israeli occupation's storming of the city and its camp, and its bombing by Apache helicopters, as an indiscriminate and open war against residential areas and aggression confirms the bloody behavior that Israel pursues against the Palestinian people.

OIC also condemned the decision of the occupation government to accelerate and expand settlement, considering that it comes in the context of its colonial approach and its constant endeavor to bypass laws, customs and international agreements.
