New york: Oil prices edged down on Tuesday, after surging nearly 2% in the previous session. Brent crude futures fell 16 cents, or 0.23%, to $68.64 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also lost 16 cents, or 0.25%, to $64.64.
According to Qatar News Agency, both contracts rose to their highest in over two weeks on Monday. The previous session's increase was attributed to factors influencing the global oil market, leading to a temporary surge in prices before the slight decrease observed on Tuesday.
