Doha: Oil prices have extended gains to trade near six-week highs as fears of further supply disruptions intensified. Brent crude futures rose $1.84, or 2%, to $92.85 a barrel, the highest since June 11. US West Texas Intermediate crude climbed $1.67, or 2%, to $86.01, its highest since June 12.
According to Qatar News Agency, the recent increase in oil prices is attributed to concerns over potential supply disruptions, which have heightened in recent days. This trend has pushed both Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude to levels not seen since mid-June. The market remains watchful of developments that could further impact supply chains and influence future pricing.
