Oman Affirms Rejection of Attempts to Transfer Gaza Residents

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed its categorical rejection of any attempts to transfer the residents of the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing the need to respect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their land. The Sultanate of Oman warned in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday that any plans aimed at transferring Palestinians from their lands constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, and a threat to security and stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the statement called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in protecting the rights of the Palestinian people, reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, and ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
