Muscat: The India-Oman Strategic Consultation Team convened on Tuesday for its 13th meeting. The discussions focused on organizing the Indian Ocean Conference and included representatives from both nations. Arun Kumar Chatterjee, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, led the Indian delegation, while Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, represented the Omani side. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across economic fields, trade, investment exchanges, and cultural and educational collaboration. On the sidelines of the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy had a separate discussion with Indian Minister of External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. They exchanged views on future cooperation prospects and discussed regional and international developments.
