Oman, Iran Qualify for Semi-finals of AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2025

Doha: Oman and Iran qualified for the semi-finals of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2025, which concludes next Sunday. In the first match, Oman advanced to the semi-finals after defeating UAE 7-2 Thursday in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

According to Qatar News Agency, in the second match of the same round, Iran qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Bahrain 11-0. Oman will meet Japan in the semi-finals on Saturday, after Japan's victory over Lebanon with a score of 8-3 in the quarter-finals.

The second match in the same round on Saturday will also bring together Saudi Arabia, which defeated hosts Thailand 4-3 in the quarter-finals, and Iran. Thailand is hosting the 11th edition of the tournament for the third time in its history.

The 16-team tournament is divided into four groups. The top three teams will qualify to represent Asia at the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles.
