Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi met Tuesday with Executive Secretary-General of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Preparatory Commission Robert Floyd, who is currently visiting Muscat, to discuss existing cooperation between the two sides.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the importance of technical cooperation and capacity building in the areas of monitoring and verification, combating radioactive leaks and their resulting damage, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.

They emphasized the importance of international cooperation and multilateralism in strengthening and supporting the disarmament and non-proliferation regime, and in consolidating the approach based on dialogue and diplomacy as a fundamental option for achieving international peace and security.
