Khan younis: A Palestinian citizen was killed and others were seriously injured today when an Israeli drone shelled the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis.

According to Qatar News Agency, another person from the New Camp, north of Nuseirat, succumbed to wounds he sustained several weeks ago as a result of previous Israeli shelling.

Yesterday, 14 people were killed, including three by Israeli fire and shelling. The bodies of eight were recovered, while two succumbed to their wounds.

The ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel went into effect last Friday, following the withdrawal of the Israeli army from populated areas and positions in the Gaza Strip, and the beginning of the return of displaced persons to the northern part of the Strip. This agreement is part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
