Tyre: One person was killed and two others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on Monday in southern Lebanon, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a press release that Israeli warplanes targeted the city of Tyre, resulting in one death and two injuries.
A ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon came into effect in November 2014, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days. The Lebanese government subsequently agreed to extend the deadline until February 18th of this year. However, Israeli forces remain in five locations and continue to violate the agreement.
