Qatar: Qatar SC overcame Al Khor 2-1 in Week 9 of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at the Al Khor Stadium on Thursday. Qatar SC's goals were scored by Ahmed Abdel Kader in the fourth minute through a penalty kick and Ilyas Hamid in the 90+6 minute, while Al Khor's goal was scored by Abdullah Al Saei in the 84th minute. According to Qatar News Agency, with this victory, The Kings raised their tally to 10 points, while Al Khor remained on four points. The match became exciting after Qatar SC moved up through Ahmed Abdel Kader early into the game. They then retreated to defend their lead, so the first half ended with the same scoreline. In the second half, Al Khor made a strong comeback and attacked throughout. They were able to threaten the rival goal many times through Ayman Hussein and Sofiane Hanni, but the opponent side's defenders and goalkeeper thwarted those attacks. In the 84th minute, Al Khor hit back as Al Saei snatched the equalizer for them. Afterwards, the match was expected to end in a draw, but for Ilyas Hamid's fag-end goal to give his team valuable three points.
