Doha: Ooredoo Groups net profits increased by 9.7 percent during the third quarter of this year, reaching nearly QR 2.92 billion, compared to net profits of QR 2.66 billion for the same period last year. The financial statements issued by the group, and published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today, showed that earnings per share amounted to QR 0.91 during the period ending on Sep. 30, compared to QR 0.83 or the same period last year. In contrast, Qatar German Medical Supplies Company (a Qatari public shareholding company) recorded a net loss of QR 0.825 million during the third quarter of this year, compared to a net profit of QR 0.174 for the same period last year. The loss per share amounted to QR 0.007 riyals during the period ending on Sep. 30, compared to an earnings per share of QR 0.0015 for the same period last year. Source: Qatar News Agency
