Oppo Unveils Cutting-Edge Find N3 Flip Smartphone

Oppo has officially unveiled the Find N3 Flip the companys latest clamshell-style foldable smartphone at a launch event in China. It arrives six months after sales of the Find N2 Flip predecessor began internationally, and just a month after Samsungs global launch of the Galaxy Z Flip.

While sporting a similar clamshell design to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppos offering differs in its camera array which might give it an edge. Compared to the Z Flip 5s 12 megapixel main camera and a 12 megapixel ultrawide, the Find N3 Flip features a new Hasselblad-branded triple-camera setup located on the rear of the phone, similar to that featured on Oppos Find X6 Pro.

It provides a 32 megapixel telephoto, a 48 megapixel ultrawide with 114 degree field-of-view, and a 50 megapixel main camera, alongside a 32 megapixel front-facing camera.

The 3.26-inch AMOLED cover screen remains the same in size but it gains more functionality allowing users to run all kinds of apps and widgets without unfolding their Find N3 Flip. The keynote mentioned support for multiple travel, navigation, music and social networking apps and smart key integration for newer cars.

The N3 Flip also gets a newer MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset as well as faster LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. One of the few design changes is the new mute switch which features three positions just like on OnePlus phones.

The rest of the core specs are nearly identical to last years Find N2 Flip. You get a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED main display with 1080 x 2520 px resolution and a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel uses ultra-thin glass (UTG) and cranks out up to 1,600 nits peak brightness.
