Pakistan: Pakistan's military said 12 suspected militants have been killed in two separate security operations in the north-western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the south-western province of Balochistan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the army stated that five militants were apprehended during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, where one army major was also killed in an exchange of fire. In a separate operation in Nushki, Balochistan, security forces reported the killing of seven militants and the seizure of weapons, explosives, and improvised explosive devices.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that his government is actively pursuing a strategy to eliminate banned militant groups. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to address militancy in the region. The latest actions follow an army announcement on July 29, which reported the killing of 32 militants in security operations across the two provinces.
