Doha: The Pakistani army has announced the death of six of its soldiers and seven militants in a clash that occurred near the Afghan border in the Kurram region of northwestern Pakistan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the clash erupted during a security operation conducted by Pakistani forces against suspected militants involved in cross-border attacks. The army's statement confirmed that Pakistani forces are continuing their search operations to clear the area of militants.
