Pakistani PM and Azerbaijani President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif discussed via a phone call with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, Pakistan's Prime Minister reaffirmed his country's commitment to promoting peace and stability in South Asia, citing the ceasefire agreement with India as a clear demonstration of this commitment.

He also reiterated Pakistan's unwavering resolve to safeguard its sovereignty, stressing that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains a central cause of regional instability.

He emphasized that the conflict must be resolved in accordance with the relevant United Nations (UN) and UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
