Pakistani Security Agency Foils Attack, Arrests 3 Militants

Karachi: Pakistani security forces on Monday foiled an armed attack in the southern city of Karachi.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Pakistani security agency explained that the counter-terrorism force of the Sindh police thwarted a major attack, seizing approximately 2,000 kilograms of explosives and arresting three militants.

Four Pakistani policemen were killed yesterday (Sunday) in two separate armed attacks in the north of the country. Pakistani forces have been conducting efforts for years to eliminate armed groups entrenched in several mountainous regions, who launch attacks against civilians and security personnel from time to time.
