Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mohammad Mustafa, met today with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Stephane Sejourne in Ramallah, where they discussed efforts made to stop the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. They also discussed efforts exerted to strengthen relief efforts in the Gaza Strip and stop the escalation of the occupation army's and colonists' aggression in the West Bank. Mustafa also stressed the need for France and Britain to recognize the sovereign independent Palestinian state, and to follow up and support the implementation of the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Mustafa commended the efforts made by Britain and France and their continued calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and to avoid escalation in the region as a whole. For their part, the French and British ministers emphasized the need to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip an d allow aid entry, stressing that de-escalation in the region is the only option. They underscored their rejection of the escalation taking place in the West Bank, including the terrorist attacks of colonists against Palestinian citizens and their properties, affirming the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.
