In response to the gruesome massacre perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces in the Nuseirat camp on Saturday, the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas requested holding an emergency session of the UN Security Council to discuss the repercussions of the bloodshed. Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) stated that President Abbas instructed Palestine's envoy to the United Nations to request an emergency session of the UN Security Council (UNSC) to urge the international community to urgently intervene to halt the Palestinians tragedy in the Gaza enclave and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. WAFA highlighted that the Palestinian President Abbas is currently engaging in intensive efforts with Arab and international parties to convene this emergency session of the UNSC to uphold its role in stopping the Israeli ongoing aggression against the Palestinians and compelling the Israeli occupation state to adhere to the international legitimacy resolutions that call for an immediate ceasefire.
