Gaza city: A Palestinian died on Saturday of wounds sustained in an Israeli attack on Gaza City, medical sources said. The individual had been injured in a strike by Israeli occupation forces on the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, located east of Gaza City, and later succumbed to his injuries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the situation in the region remains tense as Israeli occupation forces continue shelling the eastern part of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. Tanks were reported to have opened heavy fire in the area, exacerbating the already volatile situation.

In addition to the hostilities in Gaza City, the southern Gaza Strip is also experiencing intensified conflict. Israeli tanks have increased their shelling activities east of the town of Al-Qarara in Khan Younis. The eastern and southern parts of the city have also come under attack, while military vehicles reportedly advanced into the Abu Al-Ajeen area, southeast of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, where they conducted bulldozing operations.

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has reached a staggering 73,311, with 173,924 people injured. The situation continues to escalate, with no resolution in sight, as the humanitarian impact deepens for the residents of the region.
