Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Friday that it views with extreme concern the series of incursions and raids perpetrated by the Israeli occupation army and organized and armed settler militias in the occupied West Bank, violating it in full view of the international community.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry said, in a statement, that Israel's disregard for the international consensus rejecting settlements and the annexation of the West Bank is evidence of the Israeli government's disregard for international demands, appeals, and positions, and its lack of practical impact on its racist colonial plans and policies.
This situation calls for a serious, collective international stance to put an end to this disregard and compel the occupation to comply with international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
The ministry emphasized that this requires, foremost, obligating Israel to halt the crimes of genocide, displacement, and annexation.
It also called on the world's countries to link the level of their relations with the occupation to the extent of its commitment to international law and United Nations resolutions, urging countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to expedite their recognition of the state and protect the two-state solution before it is too late.
