Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' seizure of thousands of dunams of Palestinian lands, considering it a systematic undermining of the two-state solution. In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry said that the Israeli government continues its blatant defiance of relevant United Nations resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, with the aim of altering the historical, political, legal, and demographic realities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. This undermines the opportunity for implementing the principle of the two-state solution. It also denounced the racist colonial policies pursued by the Israeli occupation government, rapidly seizing thousands of dunams of Palestinian citizens' lands. The latest of these was the seizure of 441 dunams of lands belonging to citizens in the villages of Shabtin, Deir Ammar, and Deir Qaddis west of Ramallah. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called for imposing strong inte rnational sanctions on the occupation authorities, compelling them to halt colonization, dismantle settler militias, and disarm them. Colonization, it stressed, poses a direct and serious threat to the conflict arena and to reviving the peace process and achieving political solutions to the conflict. Source: Qatar News Agency
