Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take concrete action to end Israel's ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and bring an end to the occupation.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the ministry condemned the international community's silence on the crimes and attacks faced by Palestinians, noting that expressions of concern, warnings, and calls for restraint fall far short of addressing the daily suffering of Palestinian civilians. It emphasized that the violations committed by Israeli forces constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law.
The statement also highlighted the severity of Israel's actions, including suffocation of Gaza and its residents, as well as the declared and undeclared annexation of West Bank, including Jerusalem. It further denounced the policies of ethnic cleansing, repression, and disruption of Palestinians' lives, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
Despite a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel on January 19, Israeli forces continue to target Gaza with sporadic strikes and operations, resulting in dozens of casualties. Additionally, the Israeli occupation maintains systematic arrest campaigns and escalates repressive measures in occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
