Beit Lahia: A Palestinian was killed, while two others were injured Saturday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF)'s gunfire in the northern and southern Gaza Strip, in a new breach of the ceasefire deal.
According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that a child was martyred after being shot in the head, while a woman was shot in the back in Beit Lahia in the northern Strip. Another Palestinian was shot by Israeli forces in Rafah, southern Gaza, near a mosque in Khirbet Al Adas, north of the city, the sources added.
Earlier Saturday, nine Palestinians, including three photojournalists, were killed in an Israeli strike on a group of people in Beit Lahia, raising the death toll since the ceasefire took effect on Jan. 19 to 150. The fatality toll in the Gaza Strip has surged to 48,543 martyrs since the onset of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, with 111,981 others injured. However, several victims are either trapped in bombed-out buildings or scattered on the roads, with paramedics and rescuers unable to reach them.
