Ramallah: The Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met with Advisor to the President of France Anne-Claire Legendre to discuss efforts to cease Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
According to Qatar News Agency, both officials emphasized the necessity of facilitating humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and coordinating efforts for the success of the upcoming International Peace Conference in New York in June 2025. Mustafa highlighted the importance of supporting the realization of Palestinian statehood and its unified institutions in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. He also stressed the need to initiate the implementation of the Palestinian National Early Recovery and Reconstruction Plan for Gaza, in collaboration with all partners, once the aggression ceases.
Mustafa informed Legendre about the operations of the Government Operations Room for Emergency Interventions in the Gaza Strip, which are conducted in coordination with international and local institutions. He called for further collaboration to support the Palestinian government's programs and plans and to increase international pressure to release Palestinian funds withheld by Israel, urging a halt to all unlawful deductions.
Legendre, on her part, reiterated France's support for ceasefire efforts and resolving the humanitarian situation in Gaza. She also affirmed France's commitment to supporting a two-state solution and the Palestinian government's development and institutional plans.
