Rafah: The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on Sunday that several of its paramedics were injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire while they were surrounded in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Red Crescent stated that the occupation forces encircled a number of its ambulances while they were attending to the situation in the Al-Hashashin area in Rafah. The statement confirmed that several paramedics sustained injuries, and contact was lost with the crew, which has been trapped for several hours.
Israel resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip last Tuesday following a two-month hiatus after a ceasefire agreement came into effect on January 19. However, the occupation forces violated the ceasefire terms over the past two months by continuing to bombard areas of the Gaza Strip, leading to deaths and injuries. Additionally, they have refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and have intensified the blockade on the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
