Qatari sprinter Ammar Ismail has been qualified for the semifinals after securing the first place in his group during the 400-meter heats, clocking a new personal best of 44.77 seconds, on Monday, at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Ammar Ismail's new personal record qualified him for the World Championships in Tokyo 2025. He will compete Tuesday, in the semifinals round to qualify for the finals. Ismail said he is so glad for achieving this success, affirming that he is determined to qualify for the finals and compete for achieving the best result. Following the conclusion of the contest, Ismail added that he hopefully seeks to be at the vanguard and in buoyant mood, on Tuesday, to compete with highest concentration. Ismail won the gold medal in the 400-meter championships in Kazakhstan, with a time of 46.03 seconds, last June. He also won the gold medal in the 400 meters sprint at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in February 2023 in Kazakhstan, achieving a time of 46.25 seconds. Source: Qatar Ne ws Agency
