HE Executive Director of the Permanent Committee for Organizing Conferences (PCOC) and Director of Guest Management and Protocol Department of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Mubarak bin Ajlan Al Kuwari said that the state of Qatar is keen on providing an exceptional experience for the State guests during the FIFA World Cup Q2022 and the related complementary events.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Kuwari said that the cumulative experiences gained by the working teams, who oversee hosting State guests, reinforce sustainable institutional work and constitute a source of pride for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a motivation for the State to host international events and conferences in accordance with the highest international hospitality standards.
He noted that the Committee had allocated an integrated electronic center and system to serve the top guests of the State, facilitating their access to the necessary logistics such as transportation, accommodation and the provision of the tickets for the games. It also facilitated the issuance of Haya cards for guests and the accompanying delegations as well as the provision of reception and guidance services to coordinate guest schedules, he said.
Al Kuwari pointed out that the Committee trained and qualified a number of diplomats to accompany guests and to brief them on the culture of the State of Qatar and its various aspects, adding it also developed a partnership with Qatar Museums to provide unique cultural experiences and tours to QM and its archaeological sites, stressing that the World Cup provided an opportunity to introduce guests to the people of Qatar, their oppeness and their Arab and Islamic customs.
