A pilot was killed on Friday in a military helicopter crash during a landing maneuver at the air base near the city of Gafsa, southwest of Tunisia, Tunisian Ministry of Defense reported in a statement. The statement added that two pilots were onboard during a programed flight mission on Friday when the chopper crashed during a landing maneuver at the air base. It pointed out that medical personnel were deployed in the crash scene and evacuated the crews to a hospital in the area, with the medical personnel announcing the death of one of the pilots while the other one is in a stable condition.
